It is powered by high capacity Ni-MH batteries, operating continuously for 5 hours from a single charge and can be recharged at any state of discharge without any risk of restricted charge memory.

It is housed in a heavy duty rubber case, has a shatterproof polycarbonate lens and is resistant to oil and grease.
