Top Quality - Worth the buy Review by Mike
Overall Rating These boots, patrol, mountain and combat varients are all top tier footware! I have been running with these Lowa boots for over a decade now, have done all sorts in them from yomps, assault courses, running, standing secuirty you name it they do the job, so comfortable and unlike most pairs of boots will actually last years if you maintain them plus pretty much still feel new after heavy use! Honestly cannot praise these boots enough to the point i would always go for this brand over any other!
Some see them as pricey but you're honeslty paying for the quality which is well worth it, dont believe me buy a pair and find out for yourself! (Posted on 10/12/2020) -

Ultimate boot. Review by Roger
Overall Rating Ex RAF Aero Engineer, I have worn LOWA footwear for over 23 years consecutive years, rarely does a day goes by, when I do not slip my LOWA boots on, often 16 hours of continuous wearing, and never ever a blister, rubbing etc etc, these boots may command a decent price tag, you really do get what you pay for, an excellent performing boot, straight out of the box, each and every time, for the very time, I have just teamed my LOWA boots with the Darn Tough Vermont brand of socks, and together, well, absolute unbeatable comfort, I will however, recommend, and I'm glad I decided on the extra 1/2 size fitting, that the full cushion and extra cushion range of the Darn Tough Vermont socks, does take advantage of the extra 1/2 size fitting, if you are reading this, and still thinking about the cost, can you really put a price on comfort, warmth, waterproof dry feet, in my opinion, the answer is a firm NO, as we only get one pair of feet, and you need to look after them. Great boots Review by Lanceyboy
Overall Rating I have had 1 pair of these for 6 years of police patrol service. They have been resoled twice and have stood the test of time through rain, mud, long grass, water filled holes etc. The best boots i have ever owned. I bought a pair of magnums to replace them and wish i had never bothered. waste of cash IMO. Yes the outlay may be seen as steep but they are worth every penny. Don't think about it... Just do it! Briliant Investment Review by DownSouthScouser
Overall Rating I bought my Lowa's in 2006, I'm just about to resole them for the second time. I was Armed Forces till 2011 but now Police. These boots just go on and on and on. Mine are still in excellent nick after 8 years of punishment and are still waterproof. Mind you, good maintainance is key. Would recommend them anytime. (Posted on 14/05/2014)

Best boots I have ever bought. Review by Rob
Overall Rating Great service Thank you
Bought these 2.5 months ago and I've hardly taken them off.
Bit stiff at first for a couple of days then felt like I'd owned them for a few years.
They clean up nice and keep your feet dry
The insulated soles spot on as specially when it's cold outside and you are standing about waiting.
They feel really light when you have them on.
Would I buy another pair?
DAM RIGHT!!
Would I recommend them?
DAM RIGHT!!
Thank you
Cheers rob (Posted on 22/01/2014) -

Best boots money can buy Review by Adam Kirk-Davies
Overall Rating Comfy hi-leg boot is by far the best boot I have owned in all aspects. It is extremely waterproof although I find the Gore-tex inner can make your feet hot in the height of summer, and feels lightweight on although they're really not. Being designed for the German army and being a German manufacturer you might expect that the boots are well put together, and they are. I know lots of squaddies prefer them to British offerings which is understandable. This boot is seriously good. (Posted on 13/08/2013)

Number one Lowa fan Review by Danmeister
Overall Rating Just taken delivery of second pair Combat GTX from CopShop.. excellent delivery as always thanks guys. Cannot get a better boot IMO, I've got a weak ankle and few boots except Lowas give me the support I need. You can feel the quality in the thickness of the leather upper, D rings, soles etc so I don't mind the outlay. Rather one quality pair every 2-3 year than a crap pair every 8 month, thats what I say. Wont ever wear anything else. (Posted on 29/04/2013)

A few top tips to obtain the best fit:
- Try the boots on at the end of your working day as your feet could have increased by up to half a size due to vigorous activity.
- Always wear your chosen socks when trying on footwear.
- Please remember that LOWA boots are available in half sizes.
- Fit the larger foot first but leave it unlaced. Push your foot as far forward in the boot as possible; you are now looking for a gap of approx 10mm in the space now left behind the heel.
- Put the other boot on and lace them both up with your heel well back into the heel counters. They should feel snug around the ball and instep of your feet without having to lace them too tightly.
- Walk up and down and experience slight heel lift only, and minimum foot slippage. You should not feel the front of the boot at all, even when trying to push your foot forward inside the boot.
- Boots may become a little wider in time (but do not rely on this when purchasing).
- All boots, however comfy they feel from new, need a little time to soften up.
UK Sizes
Length difference from full size to full size = 8.46 mm (half size to next size = 4.23 mm).
Standard Last
Ball of the foot width increases max 3 mm from full size to next full size (half size to next size = max 1.5mm).
Wide Fitting Last
If choosing a wide fitting boot then the following width dimensions are added to the standard width: Ball of the foot width increases 2 mm on each size. Toe volume and instep height increases also.
Foot Length
If using your foot length as your guide (choose your longest foot), then add 10 mm before converting to UK size, to allow adequate length inside the boot. This is classed as the Mondopoint measuring system.
